Metric Double End Studs

Metric Double End Studs are partially threaded with coarse machine screw threads. A shoulder separates the unequal lengths of thread. The tap end is the short threaded end and its thread length is about 1.25 times the diameter of the stud; they are available with an interference thread fit at the tap end. The long threaded end is the nut end. Unlike inch series studs, metric stud length is the combined length of the nut end and unthreaded shoulder and doesn't include the tap end. Class 8.8 steel, plain finish and zinc plated, is available.
