Metric External Rings

Metric External Rings are installed in a groove in a shaft to create a non-permanent shoulder to retain components. External Retaining Rings, expanded so they can be installed axially (in-line with the shaft), can endure high thrust loads due to nearly 360° contact with the groove. External E-Type Circlips are installed radially (from the side) and snap into position but since their three prongs only contact the shaft, thrust loads must be limited to low values. Select from steel and stainless steel materials, and plain and zinc plated finishes.
