Metric Studs

Metric Double End Studs have unequal lengths of threads at each end and an unthreaded shoulder in-between. The short threaded end, the length of which is about 1.25 times the stud diameter, is the tap end and is available with an interference thread fit. Coarse machine screw threads are standard. Stud length is specified as the nut end (long threaded end) plus the unthreaded shoulder, not overall length like inch series studs.
