Metric Washers

Metric Flat Washers resemble a flat doughnut—a thin disk with a hole in their center. They are used to increase the bearing surface area and are particularly useful when working with soft material and oversized holes. Small pattern washers—washers with a small outside diameter—are used with small diameter screw heads. The outside diameter of Fender Washers is about 3 times their nominal (screw) size.

Metric Lock Washers are a collection of washers designed to resist loosening of bolted joints. They include Curved and Waved Spring, Split, External and Internal Tooth and External and Internal Tooth Serrated. Each type may offer different advantages in different applications. Some types are not recommended for new designs.
